MotionPoint, a leader in technology and services for website translation, localization and optimization, announced today that Hardinge launched its website in eight languages using MotionPoint’s solution.
These multilingual sites will help Hardinge, the leading global provider of advanced, high-precision metal-cutting machine tool solutions, to provide consistent, online brand experiences and better serve its global customer base.
Hardinge selected MotionPoint’s fully turn-key website localization solution to translate, deploy and operate the Spanish, French, German, Italian, Chinese (simplified and traditional), Japanese and Korean versions of its site.
Hardinge's customers represent a diverse group of industries, ranging from aerospace and automotive to agriculture, construction and defense. Given the company's diverse portfolio of global business customers and highly technical product information, it was critical to find a solution that would provide very accurate translations and reflect the quality and precision of Hardinge's brand.
"We needed to create an informative digital space that better served our regional teams, our channel partners, and ultimately our customers," said Allan Snider, Global Marketing Director at Hardinge. "So we undertook a project to consolidate our global web presence by combining them into a single corporate website. Hardinge leaned on MotionPoint to offer its website – including product descriptions and technical information – in its customers’ preferred languages.
"Our website content is highly technical, so an automated translation solution wasn't an option," Snider said. "We needed to find a partner that could handle technical human translation, and that had a history of doing it. When I looked at the portfolio of customers that MotionPoint has - and saw that a lot of them were manufacturers with very technical content - I knew that MotionPoint was the best fit.
